JNA Awards 2015 HKJJA, Jewelmer Joaillerie, Paspaley and SRK stand out in 3 Decades of Excellence category

An industry association and three of the gemstone and jewellery sector’s most prominent and inspiring companies have been named Honourees or finalists in the JNA Awards’ 3 Decades of Excellence category.

The finalists are the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), Jewelmer Joaillerie, Paspaley and Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt Ltd.

The JNA Awards ceremony and gala dinner is scheduled for September 20 at the Regal Airport Hotel in Hong Kong, and will be held during the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. For more details about the Awards and the gala event, click here.

HKJJA is the first trade association to be named an Honouree in the prestigious JNA Awards. Established in 1965 to help boost confidence in Hong Kong’s jadeite products, HKJJA has demonstrated tremendous industry leadership, nurturing and promoting Hong Kong’s jewellery and jade industry both at home and overseas. Its efforts, over the past 50 years, have moved Hong Kong to its current position of undisputed leader in the global jade jewellery business.

Jewelmer Joaillerie dreams of taking the golden South Sea pearl, the national gem of the Philippines, to other parts of the world and share its symbolic message of environmental conservation and stewardship. Founded by Filipino businessman Manuel Cojuangco and French pearl-culturist Jacques Branellec, Jewelmer Joallerie has expanded into a fully integrated enterprise. Its business embraces the entire supply chain from pearl farming to jewellery design and production, to a dynamic wholesale and retail operation that positions Jewelmer Joaillerie as a luxury brand.

Founded by Nicholas Paspaley, MBE, Paspaley is recognised for making high-quality South Sea pearl culture a reality in Australia. By the early 1980s, Paspaley was producing cultured pearls of a quality never seen before. This pioneering spirit continues today. Paspaley understands that a pristine environment is essential to the production of fine-quality pearls and has long been an advocate for the protection of the seas off northern Australia. Studies have proven that Paspaley’s pearling operations have a benign environmental impact and the company is in the process of being certified by an independent and internationally recognised marine conservation organisation.

Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt Ltd is a giant among India’s diamond manufacturers, a pioneer and leader in all aspects of diamond manufacturing and marketing. The company’s innovative spirit and manufacturing strengths have contributed significantly to the growth and influence of India’s diamond sector in the global market. The company has a state-of-the-art factory for diamond production in Surat and an award-winning facility producing a full range of diamond jewellery in gold, platinum and silver.

In addition to the above-mentioned Honourees, the fourth annual JNA Awards is paying tribute to gemstone and jewellery companies that have shown excellence in 14 other categories.

The Awards is also conferring the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to Ou Yang Chiu Mei, who is acknowledged as the world’s foremost authority on jade studies and research.
